A family standing with your familyAt least 7.5 million individuals over the age of 16 with intellectual and developmental disabilities live in non-institutional settings.1Aging parents care for many of those disabled adults. As a result, many families face long waiting lists. The services and support needed to help the developmentally disabled adult and ease their parents' burden are simply not available. At Covenant Enabling Residences, we understand the challenges families face in helping their loved ones grow in spirit and self-sufficiency. We promote a fulfilling lifestyle for developmentally disabled adults. Enabling an enhanced quality of life- whether that is living independently, being gainfully employed or making a meaningful contribution to society-is the heart of our mission. As a program of the Outreach Ministries of Covenant Ministries of Benevolence, Covenant Enabling Residences use biblically-based programs and Christ-centered values to extend a hand in Christian fellowship. They expand the ministry commitment of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone benefits 1 U.S. Census Bureau, 2003 |
